LEAD project Dissemination Conferences in Beijing (9- 10 July) and Kunming (12-13 July)

LEAD Dissemination Event will take place at NAEA, Beijing and YNNU, Kunming, 9-13 July 2018

Organised by NAEA, YNNU and VUB under the framework of the Erasmus+ LEAD Project, two dissemination conferences on university governance and academic leadership in the context of innovation and internationalization will be hosted, respectively, by the National Academy of Education Administration in Beijing (9- 10 July) and by Yunnan Normal University in Kunming (12 – 13 July).

Both events are aimed at reaching out Chinese partner universities, Chinese academic leaders and higher education experts and around 200 participants are expected to gather in Beijing and Kunming. VUB will be represented at both events by the LEAD project coordinator, Prof. Chang Zhu, by former Vice-Rector for International Relations, Prof. Jan Cornelis, and by the Executive Director of the Institute for European Studies, Anthony Antoine of VUB.

At the two conferences, results and achievements of LEAD project and its workshops will be discussed. European and Chinese partners will  have the opportunity to exchange views on LEAD workshops’ outcomes for their home institution and the impact of international cooperation on academic governance and leadership under the LEAD project. Moreover, at both venues, the progresses of LEAD MOOC and LEAD Book structure and contents will be presented and discussed.

The LEAD project will organise a LEAD dissemination event hosted by NAEA in Beijing and Yunnan Normal University in Kunming, China from 9 -13 July 2018.

During the two-days event, the following content will be covered:

  • LEAD workshops outcomes
  • Progress of LEAD MOOC
  • Insights for University Governance and Academic Leadership
