3rd Series of LEAD workshops in Tampere, Finland and Lisbon, Portugal
The 3rd Series of the LEAD workshops and seminar will take place at University of Tampere, Finland from 2-3 May and at the UNIVERSIDADE NOVA DE LISBOA, Portugal from 4-6 May, 2017.

The LEAD project organises a full-day workshop on 'Structural Transformation of Universities' on 2 May 2017 at University of Tampere, Finland. Three specific themes will be tackled in the workshops:
- The Role of HEIs in regional innovation systems and economic development
- Structural transformation within universities for strengthening the university’s societal engagement
- Management and academic leadership in EU-China higher education cooperation
The workshop is hosted by University of Tampere.

The LEAD project organises the LEAD workshops on University Governance and Academic Leadership in different scientific fields on 4 May in Lisbon, Portugal. More than 50 participants will join the workshops and share experiences and insights among Chinese and European academic leaders.

The UNICA-LEAD Europe-China Rectors' Seminar is organised by the LEAD partnership and will be hosted by Universidade NOVA de Lisboa on Friday, 5 May 2017.
The Europe-China Rectors' Seminar is organised in the framework of the EU Erasmus+ Capacity Building LEAD project: Governance and Academic Leadership of Chinese and European Universities in the Context of Innovation and Internationalisation, coordinated by Vrije Universiteit Brussel. The event is jointly organised by UNICA, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa and the LEAD coordinator VUB.
The Europe-China Rectors' Seminar is also organised under the framework of the EU-China High Level People-to-People Dialogue (HPPD).
